Ed & Charlene Simms have owned and operated El Escritorio since 1987. El Escritorio has published numerous magazines, specialty publications, newsletters, and books focusing on Southwest History, Genealogy and cultural events. El Escritorio also provides event management services, primarily promoting art, music, dance, literature and theater.

El Escritorio is now embarking on teaching information literacy, offering instruction on how to best utilize print and electronic resources. We hope to provide meaningful information literacy services to the communities we serve.
